Why does co-curricular season break most tuition plans?

In the second term the district competition approaches, training goes to four afternoons, and Wednesday is gone. The tuition centre cannot move a class for one student, so the student misses three weeks, returns behind, and the family quietly drops the subject from the plan.
Students at SMK schools in the USJ and SS sections, at SMJK schools and at private and international schools in Subang Jaya carry different co-curricular calendars, but the shape is the same: a base timetable that holds for most of the term, and a peak of two to four weeks when nothing holds. A tuition plan has to be designed for the peak, not the base.
How does an online one-to-one slot move with the season?
Because each of our lessons is one teacher and one student, the slot belongs to that student alone. When training moves from Wednesday to Thursday, the lesson moves too, by a WhatsApp message and a confirmed replacement time.
During a competition fortnight the lesson can move to a weekend morning, or be paused for one week with the homework continuing, and then resume in the base slot when the season ends.
The teacher, the notes and the sequence of chapters stay the same throughout. The only variable is the clock time, and that is the one thing a busy student needs to be flexible.

What happens in the catch-up lesson after a competition week?
A missed week in Biology is a missed chapter section, and the school does not wait. The catch-up lesson is a double hour scheduled in the first free evening after the competition.
The teacher covers the section the school taught during the missed week, in the compressed form a strong summary allows, and then works through the questions the student could not answer in class. A Form 4 student returning from a tournament during the enzyme chapter, for example, spends the first hour on enzyme action and the factors affecting it, with the graphs drawn together, and the second hour on structured questions about those graphs.
The homework after a catch-up lesson is deliberately light, because the student is also catching up in six other subjects. One page of exam-style questions, marked at the start of the next ordinary lesson, is enough to confirm the section has landed.
Should a busy student take shorter or longer lessons?
It depends on the week. A student home from training at 6.30 pm, tired and with homework waiting, learns more in a focused hour than in a ninety-minute session they cannot sustain.
A student in a quiet week before exams benefits from a double hour on timed questions. Our lessons are booked by the hour, so the family and the teacher can choose one or two hours for any given week without changing the arrangement.
What matters more than lesson length is the homework rhythm. A student with a heavy co-curricular load does better with three short tasks across the week, ten to fifteen minutes each, than with one long task on a night that may not exist.
The teacher sets the homework in that shape once the family describes the training week.

How do lesson notes help a student who studies in fragments?
A student who does Biology in fifteen-minute pieces between training, dinner and other homework needs to pick up exactly where they stopped. The notes from each online lesson, the annotated diagram and the marked answers, are saved and sent after the session, so the student opens the phone during a break and sees the labelled villus or the corrected essay rather than a blank page.
Fragments add up only when each one starts from a clear record.
